How much is your face worth

I saw this on Hayley's blog and thought I’d give it a go and brave it!
You have to add up the cost of all the cosmetics you wear on a daily basis (don’t include cleaners etc) Mine are:

Revlon PhotoReady Foundation £12.99 - Boots

Loreal Infallible Concealer £5.69 - Boots

Avon Arabian Glow Eye Shadow Duo around £5.00

Rimmel Lash Accelerator Mascara £8.99 - Boots

Barbara Daly Matte Perfection Powder £5.75 - Tesco

Loreal Super Liner £6.49 - Boots

Revlon Bronzer £7.99 - Boots

Benefit Thrrrob Blusher £23.50 - Boots

Rimmel Kate Lipstick £5.49 – Boots

Vaseline Rosy Lips £1.99 - Boots

My face is worth £83.88

I would never have thought I spend that much but it’s definitely worth it in my eyes! I think I’m more shocked by the amount of products I wear, I already know I spend a lot lol, especially since I can’t resist a bargain!

Make up! (Heavy Picture Post)

I decided to nip into TK Maxx in my lunch break to have a look around, they have loads of stock in at the moment. I know I’m going to end up buying most of my girly Christmas gifts there, as it’s a great place to pick up something a bit different.
Since they started selling make up I have found myself drawn there a lot more often. Today I found a variety of Pixi products. They had lipsticks/glosses, blushers, eye shadow singles/palettes, concealers and nail varnishes, all with a £2.99 price tag! I immediately jumped on them. I ended up picking up 2 eye shadow palettes in Blue Energy and Magic (RRP £18.50):

This is the Blue Energy palette. I checked online for some pricing and found it on the Debenhams website for £26.00 LINK

A few of the colours didn’t come out so well in both palettes but for £3 I’m not complaining. They do have some staying power though, I had to wash my hands when doing the swatches as the colours weren’t budging enough.

I love how the palettes are made to coordinate together. I think the dark colours look great for night time. I can’t wait to test out their staying power on my next night out.

The packaging states:

“Eight of our favourite beautifying eye colours. Silky and sheer in texture, you can use wet for a party look or dry for daytime dream eyes. Infused with soothing Aloe Vera & anti-aging Vitamin E. Included is a mini version of our “can’t live without” eyebrush –one end for easy lining and one for application and blending. All you need to enhance and energize your eyes!”

This is the Magic Palette I found this on the Boots website for £18.50 LINK

This is a great daytime palette. I know I’ll get plenty of use from this as I love neutrals. I couldn’t get some of these to show up on camera as they were quite sheer but would be good used as a highlight.

I also picked up a Barbara Daly Matte Perfection pressed powder in Warm for £5.75. I'm hoping this will help stop my make up from melting off my face. I love the packaging, just hoping the product impresses me too. I spent a while pouring over the make up in Tesco trying to choose wisely so I hope it was worth all the time I put into choosing it. I'll let you know how it goes :)

Thank you for taking the time to read my blog :) xxx

OOTD - 9/10/11

Hi,

Thought I'd do an outfit of the day post for this lazy Sunday. This is pretty much my go to outfit. Its easy to wear, one of those get up and throw it on outfits that just works for so many day to day occasions.

Today I'll be spending my day lounging around waiting for the X Factor results. I wasn't really impressed with last nights show til the second half when it completely changed around (in my opinion). Also scouring the Internet for good reviews of make up primers! I have quite oily skin and my make up just isn't staying on at the minute :( Anyone got any recommendations? I am in desperate need!

Anyway on to the outfit:

Top: Internacionale (bought around March) - Leggings: New Look around £7

Necklace:  Matalan around £1 in the sale

Earrings: Wallis - A few years old

Never thought I'd buy anything from Wallis but the do have a good jewellery range.

Sorry for the white face, being an avid make up wearer my face is white compared to the rest of me, which is quite tanned oops!

Overall looking forward to staying all snuggled up indoors with all this horrible weather going on. I'm just thankful its not snowing, which is my worst nightmare. At least I get to show my hats the light of day again :)

A few things I picked up this week :)

Hi All,

I've been so busy this past week I've barely had anytime to get on here at all. Never the less I've been having a great time especially on my big girly night out on Friday as pictured below :)

Sadly there were no good pictures from the night as cameras were abandoned as soon as we left the house.

I thought I'd show you a few things I've picked up while I've been MIA.

I bought this ring from EBay after not being able to get my hands on the H&M one I wanted LINK (H&M ring)

Ring £2.00 + £1.00 delivery LINK

I also bought a choker style dream catcher necklace:
Necklace 99p + £1.00 delivery charge

My favourite purchase was this floral mini satchel bag from Matalan. I swooped on it as soon as I saw it! This is the cutest bag I have ever seen in my life. I have used it everyday since I bought it, I'm in love with it.:
I bought it in store for £6 but its now £3 on the website and will be the same price in store soon too
(if its not already). I was going to put a link up but it looks like it has sold out already.

All in all I had a great week, I even joined the gym again last week after having a bit of extra cash so I've been feeling great! Hope you're all having a great week too :)

Beauty Buys

Hi All,

Thought I'd show a few beauty purchases from this weekend. I apologise now for the pictures my camera isn't that good at the minute.

I made use of my £5 No7 voucher and picked up the Intense Volume Mascara which is usually £11.50. They also have a free eye palette offer with any mascara purchased so all in all a bargain at £5.50!

The mascara creates quite a natural look so I don't think it will be replacing my current favourite Rimmels Lash Accelerator Mascara which is amazing!

It doesn't clump or give you spider eyes so for the bargain price you can't complain :)

Here's the eye palette which has a nice style to it, unlike some freebies you can get. Its the smokey rose quad and the casing says "Beautiful, wearable smokey warm metallic tomes to take your look easily from day to night."

The colours look great but I'm not really impressed they don't show up well and they're all a bit too tame for me, I prefer strong eye looks.

Here are some swatches:

As you can see only the darker colour really stands out on my skin tone but I'm sure I'll get some use out of them.

I also picked up the Rimmel Kate lipstick in 08 a week or so ago. I absolutely love this the colour is perfect for me and it applys really smoothly and evenly. It has good staying power too, so this is definitely a winner in my book.

It's a nice pinky nude colour perfect for any occasion and I know I'll get plenty of use out of it.

Hope this post wasn't too bad, its my first attempt at a beauty post so fingers crossed I haven't rambled on to much or not enough :)

Haul!

I love shopping sooo much! It really is an addiction to me. My only problem is I buy too many tops and barely buy jeans, pants & skirts. I live in leggings so I thought for a change I'd pick up this skirt to wear with my wardrobe full of tops:

Black Skirt £3.99 H&M

This is the only thing I bought to go on my bottom half so I hope you like tops!

I love the colour of this vest, it really suits my hair colour and complexion Its a touch darker in real life:

Top £7.99 H&M

Stripey tops are a must have and I love the slouchy look of this one:

Top £6.99 H&M

I also bought this blouse and it is absolutely gorgeous! I've been looking for one like this for about a year so I'm really pleased. (I've tried to take pictures that will best show off the back detail of the shirt):

I can't wait to wear this with leggings, a belt and a leather jacket!

I also bought a few things from Primark. Since Autumn has well and truly set in I bought a couple of cardigans. I have a lot of long cardigans so I thought I'd pick up these short one which are £6 each

My office is freezing and a co-worker insists on opening windows so I'm sure I'll make the most of these.

I picked up this vest because I love the colour. Its actually a little bit more of a burgundy colour then it looks here. Perfect for lazy days I think:

Top £3.50 Primark

These tops were supposed to be on sale at £3 each but when I got them to the till they were £1 each so great bargains!:

I love the colour of this blue one, wasn't too sure about the asymmetric hem but I love the leopard print style and for £1 or even £3 you can't complain.

Finally I bought this necklace. I thought it would go with the pinky lace top from above. The stone detail is pink and not coral like it looks:

Necklace £1.50 Primark

All in all a productive days work. Mainly a basics shop but worth the hassle I think :)
