Make up! (Heavy Picture Post)

I decided to nip into TK Maxx in my lunch break to have a look around, they have loads of stock in at the moment. I know I’m going to end up buying most of my girly Christmas gifts there, as it’s a great place to pick up something a bit different.
Since they started selling make up I have found myself drawn there a lot more often. Today I found a variety of Pixi products. They had lipsticks/glosses, blushers, eye shadow singles/palettes, concealers and nail varnishes, all with a £2.99 price tag! I immediately jumped on them. I ended up picking up 2 eye shadow palettes in Blue Energy and Magic (RRP £18.50):

This is the Blue Energy palette. I checked online for some pricing and found it on the Debenhams website for £26.00 LINK

A few of the colours didn’t come out so well in both palettes but for £3 I’m not complaining. They do have some staying power though, I had to wash my hands when doing the swatches as the colours weren’t budging enough.

I love how the palettes are made to coordinate together. I think the dark colours look great for night time. I can’t wait to test out their staying power on my next night out.

The packaging states:

“Eight of our favourite beautifying eye colours. Silky and sheer in texture, you can use wet for a party look or dry for daytime dream eyes. Infused with soothing Aloe Vera & anti-aging Vitamin E. Included is a mini version of our “can’t live without” eyebrush –one end for easy lining and one for application and blending. All you need to enhance and energize your eyes!”

This is the Magic Palette I found this on the Boots website for £18.50 LINK

This is a great daytime palette. I know I’ll get plenty of use from this as I love neutrals. I couldn’t get some of these to show up on camera as they were quite sheer but would be good used as a highlight.

I also picked up a Barbara Daly Matte Perfection pressed powder in Warm for £5.75. I'm hoping this will help stop my make up from melting off my face. I love the packaging, just hoping the product impresses me too. I spent a while pouring over the make up in Tesco trying to choose wisely so I hope it was worth all the time I put into choosing it. I'll let you know how it goes :)

Thank you for taking the time to read my blog :) xxx
